Brad Borkwood, CPA,
CA, CBV - President

As the President of bluepoint Valuations Inc., I take great pride in delivering the best value to you as we strive to realize our Vision. I appreciate the uncertainty that surrounds you and/or your client’s situation right now, and my job is to help move the process forward.

I am a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA), a Chartered Business Valuator and a CFF as well (Certified in Financial Forensics). I have significant experience in business valuations for all types of reasons, as well as personal injury analysis (both income loss and IRB reports). I have testified numerous times in both valuation and personal injury matters, and oversee and work on every file that bluepoint is engaged on.

Further to my work at bluepoint, I serve as the Litigation and Advanced Business Valuations Courses Leader for the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators (CICBV). I also serve as the Treasurer for the Ontario Brain Injury Association.

Stuart Wong - Director of M&A

I have recently joined bluepoint to build upon its M&A advisory services. My background is that of investment banking in Hong Kong and the Asia Pacific region where I advised primarily on listed and private company transactions, which often included international cross border deals linking Western and Eastern interests.

I have over 20 years of experience advising on, and executing, corporate finance transactions, and have completed public and private corporate finance transactions worth over US$6 billion. My transaction record includes hostile and friendly takeovers, initial public offerings, mergers & acquisitions, group restructurings, and privatisations. I have a valuation approach to M&A transactions and always seek to get an optimal, but fair, deal for my clients.

In my younger years, I grew up in an environment of a family business in Waterloo. I am a proud Canadian who understands both local small businesses and multinational conglomerates and will take the time to understand you and your company to ultimately complete a deal successfully!

Charles Saleh - M&A Advisor

Prior to partnering with bluepoint, I accumulated over 13 years of experience engaging in M&A, business valuations, corporate development, transactional due diligence, and strategic investments. Accumulating material industry experience within the Automotive, Mobile Gaming, Real Estate, SaaS, and Transportation sectors.

Throughout my career, I have been a key advisor in transactions with a collective value of $2.0bn+, including divestitures, strategic acquisitions, equity and debt financings, and venture capital investments. Further to my collaboration with bluepoint, I have cofounded The BuySell Consortium, and Dealer Direct Canada.

I have earned a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Ryerson, and am a CPA, also holding the following credentials, Accredited in Business Valuations (ABV), Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF), Certified in Entity & Intangible Valuations (CEIV) and hold a FINRA Series 7 License.

Doug Welsh - Consultant

Although I began my career is SW Ontario (and have family there), I have developed my Calgary-based valuation-litigation practice over 30 plus years, working specifically on family-owned small to mid-sized businesses. Besides my educational accreditations and years of experience as a Chartered Business Valuator and Chartered Professional Accountant, I have founded and grown my own valuation consulting business and have worked with my wife to build a well-known, long-term Calgary retail business. My prime objective in any project is to always focus on the business itself – its clients, competitors, risks, and key management dependencies and capabilities. I always strive for interaction, understanding, and to deliver honesty. I have been through the accounting and tax issues personally, and I think my practical, business mindset sets my services apart from others. Simply put, I love helping people. My legal and business referrals are long-term, loyal, and steady. My passion for my work is fueled by a love of variety and the reality that while no two valuations are the same, valuations are like stories waiting to be told but can only be proven by solid analysis and probing questions. I work calmly, rationally, and supportively, with a commitment to bringing value. I’ve testified as a valuation expert witness in the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta, Federal Tax Court of Canada, Tax Court of Canada, the Supreme Courts of British Columbia and Yukon, at hearings of the Alberta Land Compensation Board, and regularly participate in Judicial Dispute Resolution.

Before joining bluepoint, I worked in boutique tax and accounting firm where my responsibilities included assisting in the preparation of various financial statements, bookkeeping duties, and handling various client enquiries.

Shpati Begaj - Associate

As an associate at bluepoint, my focus is to assist clients who have been in Motor Vehicle Accidents (MVA) by properly completing Income Replacement Benefit Reports (IRB).

I graduated from Ryerson University in 2011 with a BA in International Relations and Minor in Economics.

AbdelRahman Elnajar - Associate

My role as an analyst at Bluepoint requires me to prepare accurate reports to help evaluate economic loss caused by MVA (motor vehicle accidents).

I got my BA in Economics from the University of Waterloo in 2021, and I am currently enrolled in the CFA program.

I have always had an affinity for numbers and a passion for working directly with other people. I also value details and I always doublecheck every little thing to ensure the thoroughness and accuracy of my work.

Anita Coit - Admin

As the Administrator with bluepoint Valuations Inc., I provide clerical duties and accounting support. I assist my colleagues in making sure everything runs smoothly through-out our office as well by inputting data and maintaining accuracy through out our Invoices, Reports, Memorandums and many other documents.
